Cherry Blossom Season in Yoshino
Mount Yoshino in Nara is one of Japan’s most famous cherry blossom destinations.
Each spring, around 30,000 cherry trees bloom across the mountain, creating breathtaking layers of pink as the blossoms open gradually from the lower to the upper slopes.
Often described as “a mountain that blooms,” Yoshino offers one of the most spectacular cherry blossom landscapes in Japan.
In 2026, the blossoms are expected to begin blooming from late March to early April, with peak bloom lasting for about two weeks.
